Yogesh Oka is a Manager in EDC’s San Francisco office. Prior to joining EDC in 2008, he worked at Booz Allen Hamilton in their Financial Services and Healthcare practices. Yogesh has primarily been focused on providing strategic and financial advice to a wide variety of financial institutions, merchants and global/domestic schemes. He has had significant experience advising global clients on merchant-focused strategies, merchant/acquirer relationships, developing innovate consumer facing payment products, and the evolving roles of domestic debit schemes in emerging markets. He has worked with global clients including those in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the Middle East, among others.
Yogesh leads EDC’s Bill Payment Initiative, through which he has assisted numerous card associations, banks, processors and third-party providers in defining their payments strategy by identifying new market opportunities, leveraging best practices from around the world, and influencing new product development. Additionally, he has had significant experience working in the Middle East and is very familiar with the dynamics of the financial systems in the region and the role of domestic debit schemes, prepaid organizations, and their interactions with the global card brands.
Yogesh holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Stanford University.
