Here is a brief summary of what you can expect at each stage of your career with EDC:
Consultant:
As a Consultant at EDC, you will participate actively on the project team. You will develop your core consulting skills and build basic industry expertise through activities such as (1) conducting research and analysis, (2) assisting in the development of client presentations, and (3) interacting with the client. You will also contribute to key processes and practices within the firm.
Senior Consultant:
As a Senior Consultant at EDC, you will lead segments of projects and will work toward leading small engagements. You will develop a deeper understanding of our clients' issues and will learn to apply appropriate tools and techniques to develop sound recommendations. At this stage, you will begin to cultivate relationships with your clients and will identify opportunities to provide additional services beyond your initial assignments. Within EDC, you will assist the managers and directors in the daily operations of the firm by taking ownership of key functional activities.
Manager:
As a Manager at EDC, you will lead major client engagements. In addition to ensuring client value and meeting project milestones, you will begin to take responsibility for management of the overall client relationship. At this stage, you will also declare a specialty and will be dedicated to one of our practice areas. That responsibility includes both the continued development of industry expertise and active participation in the business development and sales process. Within EDC, you will take on significant firm management responsibilities, such as marketing, human resources or knowledge management.
Director:
As a Director at EDC, your primary responsibility will be to create, develop, and manage client relationships. You will be a thought leader in your areas of expertise and will help your clients identify and prioritize strategic solutions to their most significant issues. Within EDC, you will be responsible for managing significant portions of your practice area, including identifying and developing growth strategies and training and coaching the next generation of firm leadership.
