About this episode
In this episode, Martin meets with Dave Excell, founder of award winning fraud prevention technology company Featurespace. If you are in the payments and fintech industry, you most probably will have heard of Featurespace and its groundbreaking AI driven approach to fraud detection and financial crime prevention. Rather than attempting to spot fraudulent activity, Featurespace uses data to build a picture of good customer behaviour. The technology is then able to detect and flag up anomalies to the expected behaviour. In our discussion, Dave shares the journey of Featurespace from his Cambridge university PhD project to the commercialisation of the technology and onto successfully establishing the company as a recognised world leader in financial crime prevention.
