PLS London – April 2026 post-event summary

Mark Beresford (Director, London) and Beatrice Sava (Senior Consultant, London) attended UK’s Payment Leader’s Summit (PLS) in London on 28th & 29th April 2026. During this event both Mark and Beatrice moderated key discussion panels with payment experts from both merchants and payment service providers. Mark moderated the discussion on Agentic Commerce and Beatrice held a fireside chat on ISO 20022. Agentic commerce declared the next big shift

Mark Beresford (Director, London) and Louis Wapler (Manager, Paris) attended the European Payment Leader’s Summit (PLS) in Amsterdam on 15th & 16th September 2025. During this event both Mark and Louis moderated key discussion panels with payment experts from both merchants and payment service providers. Mark and Louis also chaired six different merchant roundtables covering a variety of hot topics – involving over 30 merchants representing OTAs, airlines, hotels, and fashion and general merchandise retailers. In this post-event article, we delved into one of the two primary topics that were top of mind for many merchants: AI agentic commerce and the implications of AI agents acting on behalf of consumers. In this article we asked if AI agents are operating today or is this something we should be thinking about in 6- or 12-months’ time and what should merchants and payment services providers should be expecting just around the corner. By the way – the other topic at the top mind of many merchants was Payment Orchestration.
